Taylor took her first plane ride on a trip to visit my family in Florida. She did a wonderful job and made great friends with the flight attendants which got Mommy and Daddy extra pretzels! :) This is our first day in Florida and we are all smiles.
We got to visit our dear friends the Ulrich's. This is their oldest son, Kellen, and he is being quite the gentlemen and helping to hold Baby Taylor up.
Then we also got to visit the Menards and this is their oldest son, Jake -- he sure did love Mr. Chris. Yes, both the Ulrichs and Menards have 2 sons each so Taylor is going to have quite her choice! :)
We tried to get a shot of all of the kids ... poor baby Jude is only 6 weeks old and he wasn't loving this experience!
This is Taylor's first experience in sand. It was quite chilly for Florida standards so she wasn't quite sure of the cold "stuff" below her feet.
She loves sitting her with Daddy though ....
Tutu does this to ever child ... a bow on their head. I can't count the number of pictures I have with a bow on my head! And the tradition continues ....
This is one of my favorite pictures from the trip. Under the leopard print blanket (how did she get so lucky with that?!) is my great-grandmother Sydney Ann (Granny), then my grandmother Joan (Tutu), and to my left is my mom Terry (Grammy). That's five generations of Peters' women. Of course by this time Taylor was sick and as you can see can't breath out of her nose .... poor thing!

Taylor was done with pictures and the dress by this point...

On Christmas Eve, each of us got a new pair of pjs. I think that Taylor was more excited about taking a picture than the present -- she is becoming quite the ham in front of the camera.
Christmas morning opening our stockings
Just as I had been warned she enjoyed the wrapping paper and tissue paper more than the gifts themselves.
On the day after Christmas we celebrated with Chris' family. The photographer (Chris) was pretty sick so unfortunately we don't have too many pictures from that celebration.
I couldn't resist putting this one in. She was helping me in the kitchen preparing dinner when somehow she threw her elephant on her shoulder and kept making these "cheesy" grins. Like I said, quite the ham!
Monica, the pictures are beautiful! The picture of the Peters women is historical but the one I like best is of Granny and Taylor. It was a good day for Granny; she was alert, active and smiling for the picture. Granny watched Taylor for a long time, smiling off and on. Taylor was the only one she looked straight at, everyone else she'd look past them. Not only am I thankful for my heritage and it's future, I'm thankful you caught it in pictures. Love you all, Grammy
ReplyDeletethese pictures are great! it looks like you had a wonderful time. we can't wait to hear all about it when we get home. oh, in the airport on the way down here, there was a girl who is 2 days older than cecilia. she could get into a seated position, stand, and walk. of course now i have a big complex about cecilia being behind...the poor thing, this isn't much of a vacation for her as i keep pushing her to try to catch up to that girl!
ReplyDeleteMonica, these pictures are so cute, I cant believe how big she is getting already. Hope you had a great christmas and happy new year. Hope all is well.....
